Baby Monkey Xuka Refuses to Eat Because She Wants Her Aunt to Come Back

In a quiet corner of the jungle, baby monkey Xuka sat sadly on a tree branch, hugging her tiny arms around her knees. Usually, she was cheerful and full of energy, always chattering and playing. But today was different. Xuka refused to eat, no matter how hard her mom tried.

“Xuka, come have some fruit,” her mom said gently, holding out a bowl of freshly sliced bananas and sweet berries.

Xuka shook her head and turned away. “I don’t want to eat,” she mumbled softly.

Her mom sighed with concern. “Why not, my little one?”

Tears welled up in Xuka’s eyes. “I want Auntie to come back,” she whispered. “She always feeds me and tells funny stories.”

Xuka’s aunt had left a few days ago to visit another part of the जंगल, and since then, Xuka had felt lonely. Every mealtime reminded her of the laughter they shared and the fun games they played. Without her aunt, food didn’t taste the same.

Her mom sat beside her and stroked her soft fur. “I know you miss her,” she said kindly. “She loves you very much too. But she will come back soon.”

Xuka sniffled. “Really?”

“Yes,” her mom smiled. “And when she returns, she’ll want to see you strong and happy—not hungry and weak.”

Xuka looked down at the bowl of fruit again. She still missed her aunt, but she also remembered how her aunt would always say, “A strong monkey needs a full tummy!”

Slowly, Xuka reached out and picked up a small piece of banana. She took a bite. It was sweet and soft, just like she remembered.

“That’s my brave girl,” her mom said proudly.

As Xuka continued eating, her mom told her stories about her aunt’s adventures, making her giggle again. The sadness didn’t disappear completely, but it felt a little lighter.

From that day on, Xuka understood that even when loved ones are away, their love stays close. And by taking care of herself, she would be ready to welcome her aunt back with a big, happy smile.
