It was a very hot afternoon in the countryside, and the bright sun covered the garden with warm golden light. Baby Zika and his uncle had been working outside since morning, cleaning the yard and watering the plants. After hours under the heat, Zika noticed that his uncle looked very tired and thirsty.
His uncle sat quietly under a tree, wiping sweat from his face and trying to rest for a moment. Seeing this made little Zika feel worried. He wanted to help his uncle feel better as quickly as possible.
While looking around the garden, Zika suddenly noticed the tall longan tree near the fence. The branches were full of sweet, juicy longan fruit hanging in large bunches. Immediately, a clever idea appeared in his mind.
Without saying anything, baby Zika hurried toward the tree with excitement. Even though he was still very small, he carefully climbed onto a low branch and reached for the ripe longan fruit. The sight was both funny and adorable because Zika looked so serious while trying to act like a professional fruit picker.
At first, he struggled to pull down the heavy bunches. Some leaves fell onto his head, and he nearly lost his balance, making nearby chickens scatter around the yard. But determined little Zika did not give up. He continued picking the sweetest-looking fruit one by one and placing them carefully into a small basket.
After collecting enough longans, Zika proudly carried the basket to his uncle. His tiny face was covered with sweat, but he smiled brightly with happiness. When his uncle saw the fresh fruit, he was completely surprised.
“Did you pick all of these for me?” his uncle asked warmly.
Baby Zika nodded proudly and quickly peeled a longan fruit with his little hands. His uncle tasted one and immediately smiled because the fruit was sweet, cool, and refreshing. The delicious longans helped quench his thirst and gave him new energy after working hard all day.
Feeling touched, the uncle hugged Zika tightly and thanked him for being such a caring little monkey. The peaceful afternoon soon became filled with laughter as they sat together under the tree sharing the fresh fruit.
That day, everyone realized that baby Zika might be small, but his thoughtful heart was bigger than anyone expected.
