One sunny morning, smart monkey Lily was walking with her dad near the small market in the village. While they were passing by, Lily noticed many empty plastic bottles lying on the roadside and near trash bins. Some people ignored them, but Lily suddenly had a clever idea in her mind.
She quickly picked up one bottle and showed it to her dad excitedly. At first, Dad did not understand why Lily looked so happy. Then Lily pointed toward a recycling shop nearby where people could exchange empty bottles for money. Dad smiled proudly because little Lily had discovered a smart way to help the environment and earn money at the same time.
Without wasting any time, Lily grabbed a large bag and began collecting bottles everywhere she could find them. She searched near the park, beside food stalls, and even around the playground. Lily worked very hard under the hot sun, but she never complained. Every time she found another bottle, she clapped her hands happily.
Many people passing by were surprised to see such a clever little monkey cleaning the streets. Some children even joined Lily and helped her collect more empty bottles. Soon, the big bag became so full that Lily could barely carry it. Dad laughed and helped her bring the bottles to the recycling shop.
At the shop, the owner counted all the bottles carefully. There were so many that everyone was shocked! After counting, the owner handed Lily some money as a reward. Lily’s eyes became wide with excitement because it was the first time she had earned money by herself.
But the sweetest part came afterward. Instead of spending the money only on snacks and toys, Lily decided to buy fresh bananas and cold drinks for her family. She even saved a little money in her small piggy bank for the future.
Dad gently patted Lily’s head and said, “You are not only smart but also hardworking and kind.” Lily smiled proudly while hugging her bag tightly.
That day, everyone learned an important lesson from smart monkey Lily: even small things like empty bottles can become something valuable when you use your creativity and hard work.
