This weekend was very special for little Lily because Dad promised to take her camping by the river. From early morning, Lily was already awake and excited. She quickly packed her tiny backpack with snacks, a flashlight, and her favorite stuffed bunny. Dad laughed when he saw Lily running around the house with so much energy.
After breakfast, they loaded the camping gear into the car and started their journey. Along the way, Lily happily sang songs while looking out the window at the beautiful trees and mountains. The weather was cool and sunny, perfect for an outdoor adventure.
When they finally arrived at the riverside campsite, Lily’s eyes sparkled with excitement. The river water looked clear and shiny under the sunlight, and birds were singing sweetly in the trees. Dad showed Lily how to set up the tent step by step. Although the tent looked difficult at first, Lily tried her best to help by holding the poles and arranging the sleeping bags inside.
After everything was ready, Dad and Lily explored the area together. They collected smooth stones by the river and watched colorful fish swimming in the water. Lily even spotted a butterfly landing gently on a flower nearby. “This is the best weekend ever!” she shouted happily.
As the evening came, Dad built a small campfire. They roasted corn, sausages, and marshmallows while listening to the peaceful sound of the river flowing nearby. Lily laughed loudly when her marshmallow accidentally fell into the fire. Dad teased her gently, making both of them laugh even harder.
Later that night, they sat quietly under the stars. Dad pointed at the bright moon and taught Lily about different constellations in the sky. Lily listened carefully while leaning on Dad’s shoulder. The cool night breeze and the soft sound of nature made the moment feel magical.
Before going to sleep, Lily smiled warmly and said, “Thank you, Dad, for bringing me here.” Dad hugged her gently and replied, “These happy moments with you are the greatest gift for me.”
That camping trip by the river became one of Lily’s happiest memories, full of laughter, love, and beautiful family time.
