Monkey Lyly was usually very cheerful and open with her family, but one morning, her mother noticed something unusual. Lyly was carefully holding her small pink bag everywhere she went and refused to let anyone touch it. Every time her mother came near, Lyly quickly hugged the bag tightly and smiled nervously.
This strange behavior immediately made her mother curious.
“What is Lyly hiding inside that bag?” she wondered quietly.
Throughout the day, Lyly acted even more suspiciously. While helping clean the house, she kept checking her bag every few minutes. When she went outside to play, she carried it on her shoulder the entire time. Even during lunch, the little monkey placed the bag beside her chair and guarded it closely.
Her mother tried not to laugh at how secretive Lyly was acting. Still, her curiosity continued growing stronger and stronger.
Later that afternoon, Lyly sat alone under a tree in the yard while softly whispering to herself. Her mother carefully walked closer, hoping to finally discover the mystery hidden inside the bag. But as soon as Lyly noticed her mother approaching, she quickly zipped the bag closed and held it behind her back.
“Lyly, what’s inside your bag?” her mother finally asked with a smile.
Lyly shook her head shyly and replied, “It’s a secret!”

That evening, Lyly’s mother noticed the little monkey quietly sneaking toward her room while still carrying the bag. Curious and slightly worried, she followed behind. Suddenly, Lyly tripped on the carpet, and the bag accidentally fell onto the floor.
To her mother’s surprise, several colorful items rolled out of the bag — flowers, ribbons, crayons, and handmade paper hearts. There was also a small drawing of their family smiling together.
Lyly’s mother looked shocked for a moment before realizing the truth. Lyly had secretly been preparing a surprise gift for her mother all day long.
Blushing with embarrassment, Lyly admitted that she wanted to make her mother happy with a special handmade present. She had hidden everything because she didn’t want the surprise to be ruined too early.
Touched by the sweet gesture, her mother hugged Lyly tightly and thanked her for the beautiful gifts. Tears of happiness nearly filled her eyes as she admired the handmade decorations and drawings.
From that day on, Lyly’s mother always remembered the adorable mystery of the little bag and the loving surprise hidden inside by her caring little monkey.
