Obediently Monkey Zika helps dad make corn soup for the puppy

Early in the morning, the cheerful monkey Zika woke up and followed Dad into the kitchen. The weather was cool, and the little puppy Kun was lying quietly in his basket, looking weak and tired. Dad gently patted the puppy’s head and said, “Kun needs something warm and healthy today. Let’s make corn soup for him.”

As soon as Zika heard that, he excitedly clapped his hands and nodded obediently. He loved helping Dad, especially when it was for their beloved puppy. Without wasting time, Zika hurried to the garden carrying a small basket. The smart little monkey carefully picked several fresh ears of sweet corn while humming happily to himself.

Back in the kitchen, Dad showed Zika how to peel the corn husks. Zika sat neatly beside him and copied every step carefully. Tiny pieces of corn silk stuck all over his face, making Dad laugh loudly. Even little Kun lifted his head slightly as if he enjoyed watching the funny scene.

After cleaning the corn, Dad used a knife to slice the kernels into a bowl. Zika watched closely and then stirred the ingredients in the cooking pot with a wooden spoon. The delicious smell of corn soup slowly filled the kitchen. Zika became even more excited and proudly puffed out his chest because he felt like a real little chef.

While the soup simmered, Zika carefully brought a small towel to cover Kun and keep him warm. The puppy wagged his tail weakly and licked Zika’s hand softly. Seeing this made Zika smile from ear to ear.

Finally, the warm corn soup was ready. Dad poured a small portion into Kun’s bowl and waited for it to cool down. Zika sat patiently beside the puppy, watching closely. As soon as Kun started eating happily, Zika jumped up with joy and clapped his hands again.

Dad gently rubbed Zika’s head and said, “You are such a kind and obedient helper.”

Hearing those words made Zika incredibly proud. That morning, the tiny monkey learned that helping others with love and care could make everyone feel warm inside — even on the coldest day.
