One beautiful morning, Monkey Zika woke up early and heard a soft barking sound outside. It was the little puppy from the farm, wagging its tail and looking hungry.
“Good morning, Puppy!” Zika said with a smile.
The puppy barked happily but rubbed its tummy as if asking for breakfast.
Just then, Dad came out of the house carrying a basket. “Zika, I have a great idea,” he said. “Let’s pick some fresh tomatoes from the garden and make delicious stir-fried noodles for our hungry puppy.”
Zika’s eyes lit up. “I’d love to help!”
Together, they walked to the vegetable garden. The tomato plants were covered with bright red, juicy tomatoes. Dad showed Zika how to choose the ripest ones.
“Pick the tomatoes that are firm, red, and shiny,” Dad explained.
Zika carefully examined each tomato before placing it in the basket. He worked quickly and gently, making sure not to damage the plants. Before long, the basket was overflowing with beautiful tomatoes.
“You’re such a smart helper,” Dad said proudly.
Zika grinned. “I’m learning from the best!”
Back in the kitchen, Dad washed the vegetables while Zika sorted the tomatoes and helped prepare other ingredients. Soon, the cooking began. The noodles sizzled in the pan as Dad added tomatoes, carrots, and a few other vegetables.
The delicious smell spread through the house and drifted outside.
The puppy sniffed the air and ran to the kitchen door, barking excitedly.
“I think someone knows breakfast is almost ready,” Zika laughed.
A few minutes later, the stir-fried noodles were finished. Dad placed a small portion in a bowl and let it cool before serving it to the puppy.
The puppy eagerly took a bite and immediately started wagging its tail faster than ever. It gobbled up every noodle and then licked the bowl clean.
“That must be a sign that it loves the meal,” Zika said.
Dad nodded. “And it tastes even better because you helped make it.”
The puppy happily jumped around them, showing its gratitude.
As the sun rose higher in the sky, Zika felt proud. By helping Dad harvest fresh tomatoes and prepare breakfast, he had made their furry friend very happy.
From that day on, Zika always looked forward to helping in the garden and caring for the animals he loved. 🍅🐶🐵🍜
