One sunny morning, baby monkey Xuka woke up feeling playful and full of energy. As usual, his best friend, the gentle dog Kun, was lying peacefully near the garden watching the birds fly across the sky. Xuka loved spending time with Kun because the dog was always kind, patient, and protective of him.
That day, Xuka discovered a colorful ball near the house. Excited, he quickly grabbed it and started jumping around happily. Kun saw the game and wagged his tail, hoping Xuka would play together with him. The little dog barked softly and ran closer with excitement in his eyes.
But Xuka suddenly became mischievous.
Instead of sharing the ball, Xuka climbed onto a tree branch and teased Kun by dangling the ball above his head. Every time Kun tried to catch it, Xuka pulled it away and laughed loudly. At first, Kun thought it was part of the game, but after several attempts, he became tired and confused.
Then something unexpected happened.
Xuka accidentally dropped the ball into a muddy puddle behind the garden. The ball became dirty and impossible to play with. Kun slowly walked toward the puddle, staring sadly at the ruined toy. He lowered his head and quietly sat alone near the fence.
When Xuka looked at Kun’s face, he realized the dog was no longer happy. Kun wasn’t upset about the ball itself — he was hurt because Xuka had refused to share and only wanted to tease him.
The playful monkey suddenly felt guilty.
Xuka climbed down from the tree and carefully walked toward his friend. He gently hugged Kun and brought him a banana as a peace offering. After a few moments, Kun wagged his tail again and forgave him. Soon, the two friends were happily running around the yard together once more.
That day, Xuka learned an important lesson: true friendship is about kindness, sharing, and caring for each other’s feelings.
