Early in the morning, Monkey Lyly was sitting quietly near the front door of her house, enjoying a sweet banana while watching the birds fly across the sky. The neighborhood was peaceful, and everything seemed normal until she suddenly noticed something unusual standing near the gate.
It was a strange dog.
Lyly immediately froze in surprise. She had never seen this dog before. The dog had messy brown fur, long floppy ears, and curious eyes that stared directly at her. It stood silently in front of the house without barking or moving.
Lyly became very confused.
She slowly tilted her head to one side, trying to understand why the dog was there. Was it lost? Was it looking for food? Or did it want to become friends? Little Lyly had so many questions running through her mind.
Carefully, she stepped closer to the gate while holding her banana tightly. The strange dog wagged its tail softly, but Lyly still felt nervous. She quickly jumped back and hid behind the door for a moment before peeking out again.
The funny part was that the dog seemed just as confused as Lyly. Every time Lyly moved, the dog copied her movements. When Lyly tilted her head, the dog tilted its head too. When Lyly took a small step forward, the dog did the same. It looked so silly that Lyly slowly started giggling.
A few minutes later, Lyly’s mother came outside to check what was happening. She smiled warmly after seeing the harmless dog waiting quietly by the gate. Her mother explained that the dog probably belonged to a nearby family and may have wandered away from home.
Feeling less afraid, Lyly carefully grabbed a small bowl of water and placed it near the gate. The dog happily drank the water and wagged its tail even faster.
Soon, Lyly realized the strange dog was not scary at all. In fact, it was friendly and lonely. By the end of the morning, the confused little monkey and the strange dog had already become unexpected new friends.
