It was a peaceful afternoon, and Yen Như was relaxing in the yard while enjoying the cool breeze. Nearby, CUTIS was quietly watching her, seemingly deep in thought. Nobody knew that the clever little monkey was secretly preparing a surprise.
Earlier that day, Yen Như had mentioned how tired she was after cleaning and organizing the house all morning. She jokingly said, “I wish someone would help me with the chores today!”
CUTIS must have remembered every word.
A few minutes later, Yen Như heard strange noises coming from the kitchen. Curious, she walked over to investigate and couldn’t believe what she saw.
There was CUTIS wearing a tiny apron that looked much too big for him, standing proudly beside a small basket filled with fruits and snacks he had gathered from around the house. Even funnier, he had somehow found a little towel and draped it over his shoulder like a professional waiter.
With great seriousness, CUTIS carefully picked up a banana and offered it to Yen Như with both hands.
Then he bowed dramatically.
Yen Như burst into laughter instantly.
But CUTIS wasn’t finished yet.
He waddled around the room pretending to clean the floor with a tiny brush, occasionally stopping to strike funny poses as if he were the hardest-working helper in the world. Every few seconds, he looked back to check whether Yen Như was watching his performance.
She laughed so hard that tears nearly came to her eyes.
The entire room filled with happiness and laughter as CUTIS continued his adorable act.
Finally, Yen Như knelt down and gave CUTIS a big hug.
“You’re the sweetest little helper ever,” she said with a smile.
CUTIS looked proudly at his audience, clearly pleased with himself.
