One peaceful morning, little monkey Lyly woke up earlier than usual and was full of energy. The sun was shining through the window, the birds were singing outside, and Lyly was ready to start her day of fun and adventure. There was only one problem—Mom was still fast asleep!
Lyly gently climbed onto the bed and softly tapped her mother’s arm. No response. She tried again, this time giving Mom a tiny nudge on the shoulder. Still nothing happened. Mom was clearly enjoying a very deep sleep.
The clever little monkey started thinking of other ideas.
First, Lyly brought over her favorite stuffed toy and placed it right beside Mom’s face, hoping it would somehow help wake her up. It didn’t work. Next, she made funny monkey sounds and chattered loudly near the pillow. Mom simply rolled over and continued sleeping peacefully.
Lyly wasn’t ready to give up.
Suddenly, she came up with a brilliant idea! She quietly ran to the kitchen, grabbed a small snack she knew Mom loved, and carefully brought it back to the bedroom. Holding it close to Mom’s nose, Lyly waited patiently.
Within seconds, Mom’s eyes slowly opened as she noticed the delicious smell.
But Lyly had one more surprise prepared.
The moment Mom opened her eyes, Lyly jumped excitedly onto the bed, clapping her hands and chattering happily as if announcing her victory. Mom couldn’t stop laughing at Lyly’s creative and hilarious wake-up strategy.
The entire room quickly filled with laughter. Lyly looked incredibly proud of herself, almost as if she were saying, “See? I told you I could wake you up!”
From that day on, Mom jokingly wondered what new trick Lyly would invent the next time she wanted to wake her up.
One thing was certain—life with little Lyly was never boring and was always full of adorable surprises and unforgettable moments.
