It started as a perfectly normal afternoon until Cutis and Yen Nhi discovered something surprising in the backyard.
Their favorite snack basket had somehow gotten stuck high up in a tree branch!
Cutis looked up with wide eyes while Yen Nhi tried standing on her tiptoes to reach it, but it was much too high. The basket swayed gently in the breeze as if teasing them.
“Oh no! How are we going to get it down?” Cutis wondered.
The two friends quickly began coming up with ideas.
First, Cutis tried jumping as high as he could. Jump! Jump! Jump! But each attempt only made Yen Nhi laugh harder as he landed back on the ground with a funny expression.
Then Yen Nhi had an idea. She brought over a long stick to gently nudge the basket. Unfortunately, the stick was too short, and instead of helping, it accidentally knocked a few leaves onto Cutis’s head!
Soon they were both giggling uncontrollably.
After several silly attempts, they decided to work together.
Yen Nhi carefully held the ladder steady while Cutis climbed a few steps up. But the basket was still just out of reach.
Then Cutis had an even better idea.
He carefully used the long stick while standing safely on the ladder as Yen Nhi supported him from below. Slowly and carefully, they pushed the basket toward them.
“Wobble… wobble…”
Finally, the basket slid free and dropped gently into Yen Nhi’s waiting arms.
“We did it!” they shouted happily.
The two friends celebrated with cheers, laughter, and plenty of high-fives.
As a reward for their hard work, they sat together under the shade and shared the snacks they had rescued.
Cutis smiled and said, “Some problems are too big to solve alone.”
Yen Nhi nodded proudly.
That funny afternoon taught them an important lesson: teamwork makes difficult jobs easier, and solving problems with friends makes the adventure even more fun.
