It started like any other peaceful morning on the little farm. The sun was shining softly, and the birds were singing as Baby Monkey Lala hurried outside to visit her favorite friends—the tiny yellow baby chicks she loved so much.
Every day, Lala would carefully carry a small bowl of grains and fresh water to their cozy little home. She would sit beside them for hours, laughing as they chased each other around the yard and gently hopped onto her lap. To Lala, the chicks were more than pets—they were family.
But this morning felt different.
As Lala approached the chicken coop with her usual excitement, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. The yard was unusually quiet. The cheerful chirping she heard every day was gone.
Confused, Lala searched around the coop, calling softly for her little friends. Her eyes grew wider with every passing moment. Some of the baby chicks were nowhere to be found.
Lala’s smile slowly disappeared.
She looked around the garden, behind the bushes, and near the fence, hoping they were simply hiding during a game. But the truth soon became clear—the baby chicks were gone.
Tears quickly filled Lala’s eyes.
She sat quietly beside the empty coop, holding the tiny feeding bowl tightly in her hands. Memories of playing, feeding, and caring for the chicks came rushing back, making her heart ache even more.
Seeing Lala’s sadness, her mother gently sat beside her and wrapped her in a warm hug. She explained that sometimes life brings moments of happiness and moments of loss, but the love we share with others never disappears.
Lala wiped away her tears and placed fresh flowers near the little coop in memory of her beloved chicks.
Although her heart was broken, she knew she would always remember the joy they brought into her life.
