It was a bright and cheerful morning, and little monkey LYLY was happily playing with her favorite toys in the yard. As she ran around, everyone noticed that her hair had become quite long and messy. Her mother smiled and said, “I think it’s time for a haircut!”
The cameraman, who often helped take care of LYLY, picked up a pair of scissors and gently called her over. At first, LYLY looked at him with curiosity. But as soon as she realized he wanted to cut her hair, she quickly covered her head with both hands and shook her head.
“No! No!” her actions seemed to say.
The cameraman tried to comfort her and showed her the scissors were safe, but LYLY refused to move. She even ran behind her mother and peeked out with worried eyes.
Everyone wondered why she was so afraid.
After a few minutes, LYLY finally pointed at a picture hanging on the wall. It was an old photo of herself taken after her last haircut. In the picture, her hair was very short, and everyone had laughed, saying she looked like a tiny boy.
LYLY still remembered that moment!
She had loved her long, fluffy hair ever since and didn’t want to lose it again. She believed that cutting it would make her look different and that everyone might laugh at her once more.
Her mother gently hugged her and explained that a haircut wouldn’t change how cute and special she was. The cameraman promised to trim only a little bit and make her hair look even prettier.
After thinking carefully, LYLY slowly nodded.
She sat down nervously and allowed the cameraman to trim just the ends of her hair. When it was finished, everyone showed her the mirror.
To her surprise, she looked adorable!
LYLY smiled happily and finally understood that sometimes change isn’t scary at all—especially when the people around you care about you and want the best for you.
