The summer heat was stronger than ever, and little LYLY the monkey was feeling every bit of it. The sun outside was blazing, the air felt heavy, and even sitting under the fan didn’t seem to help much. LYLY wiped her forehead and looked around the house for a better solution.
Then she heard it—the familiar sound of the refrigerator door opening.
As a wave of cool air escaped from inside, LYLY’s eyes suddenly lit up with excitement. She quickly rushed over and stood right in front of the refrigerator, stretching out her tiny arms and enjoying the refreshing breeze on her face.
“Oh, this feels amazing!” LYLY seemed to say with her happy expression.
Her mother laughed and gently tried to move her away so she could close the refrigerator door, but LYLY wasn’t ready to give up her new favorite cooling spot. Every time the door started to close, she quickly stepped back in front of it again.
The little monkey closed her eyes and smiled as the cool air touched her cheeks. It was as if she had discovered a secret air conditioner made just for her.
Her mother tried everything.
“LYLY, the refrigerator isn’t meant to cool the whole house!”
But LYLY had already made up her mind.
She sat beside the open refrigerator, refusing to move even an inch. When her mother closed the door, LYLY immediately reached for the handle and tried to open it again, hoping for another burst of chilly air.
The funny scene quickly had everyone in the house laughing. LYLY’s determination was stronger than the summer heat itself.
Eventually, her mother brought her a cold drink and turned on an extra fan to help her cool down comfortably.
Although LYLY finally left the refrigerator alone, she kept glancing back at it as if saying goodbye to her favorite summer escape.
