One quiet morning, Cutis noticed something unusual about Dad. Instead of moving around the house and working as he normally did, Dad was sitting quietly on a chair with his eyes closed, taking a short rest after a long and tiring day. To little Cutis, however, the scene looked very different.
The curious little monkey watched from a distance with growing concern. He tilted his head and stared carefully at Dad, trying to understand why he wasn’t smiling or talking much. After a few moments, Cutis came to a serious conclusion in his tiny mind — Dad must be sick.
Immediately, Cutis sprang into action.
He quietly walked over to Dad and gently touched his arm as if checking whether he had a fever. Then he hurried away and returned carrying Dad’s favorite water bottle, carefully placing it beside him. His expression was full of worry and determination, showing just how much he cared.
Not stopping there, Cutis searched around the room for anything else that might help Dad feel better. He brought a small towel, arranged it beside the chair, and even tried fanning Dad with a piece of cardboard to keep him cool and comfortable.
Dad slowly opened his eyes and was surprised to find his little companion working so hard to take care of him. At first, he couldn’t understand what was happening. But after seeing Cutis repeatedly checking on him with concerned eyes, Dad quickly realized the misunderstanding.
Instead of laughing immediately, Dad gently hugged Cutis and thanked him for his kindness. Although Dad explained that he was only resting and wasn’t actually sick, Cutis still stayed close by, wanting to make sure everything was okay.
The touching moment warmed everyone’s hearts. What started as a simple misunderstanding became a beautiful reminder that love and care don’t depend on words or age.
Cutis may have been mistaken, but his genuine concern showed the size of his heart — and that was something truly special.
