The summer sun was shining brighter than ever, and little monkey CUTIS could feel the hot air as soon as he stepped outside. Even the birds were resting quietly in the shade, and the flowers looked thirsty under the strong sunshine.
Dad knew the weather was becoming dangerously hot, so he wanted to make sure CUTIS stayed safe and comfortable. “Today, we’ll have fun while keeping cool,” Dad said with a gentle smile.
First, they filled a small pool with fresh, cool water in the backyard. CUTIS happily splashed around, laughing as tiny droplets sparkled in the sunlight. After swimming, Dad gave him a soft towel and a lightweight hat to protect him from the sun.
Next, they enjoyed refreshing slices of watermelon, juicy oranges, and cold homemade fruit smoothies. Dad reminded CUTIS to drink plenty of water throughout the day because staying hydrated was very important during hot weather.
When the afternoon became even hotter, they moved indoors where it was cooler. Together they read storybooks, built colorful block towers, solved fun puzzles, and watched nature videos. CUTIS discovered that staying inside during the hottest hours could still be exciting.
Later, when the sun began to set, Dad took CUTIS for a gentle walk through the garden. A cool evening breeze finally arrived, making the trees sway softly. Butterflies fluttered among the flowers while birds sang cheerful songs to welcome the cooler evening.
As they sat together watching the beautiful sunset, Dad spoke kindly. “Many families around the world are experiencing extreme heat, especially across parts of Europe. We should always care for one another and remember to stay safe.”
CUTIS folded his little hands and whispered, “I hope everyone stays cool, healthy, and safe.”
Dad smiled proudly and joined the heartfelt prayer. They wished for gentle rain, cooler days, and protection for children, parents, grandparents, rescue workers, and everyone facing the intense summer heat.
That night, CUTIS went to bed feeling thankful for his loving father, the cool breeze, and the simple joys they had shared together. He learned that staying safe during hot weather means listening to caring advice, drinking enough water, resting in cool places, and always keeping hope and kindness in his heart for people everywhere.
