It was a bright and peaceful morning, and little Monkey Lily was happily playing in the garden while Dad watered the flowers. Lily loved exploring every corner of the yard, picking colorful leaves, and chasing tiny butterflies. She laughed with joy as birds sang from the trees.
After running around for a while, Lily suddenly stopped. She made a funny face and quietly walked behind a small bush. Dad noticed that Lily seemed uncomfortable and realized she needed to poop. Instead of laughing or ignoring her, Dad calmly walked over and gently asked, “Do you need some help, Lily?”
Lily nodded with an embarrassed smile. She was still learning good bathroom habits and wasn’t sure what to do. Dad reassured her that everyone needs help sometimes and that there was nothing to feel ashamed of.
Dad carefully brought Lily to a clean outdoor potty they used during playtime. He gave her privacy while staying close enough in case she needed assistance. After Lily finished, Dad helped her clean up with soft wipes and reminded her how important it is to stay clean after using the potty.
Next, they washed their hands together with soap and warm water. Dad showed Lily how to scrub between her fingers, the backs of her hands, and under her nails while singing a fun handwashing song. Lily giggled and happily copied every step.
When they were finished, Dad praised Lily for doing such a good job. “I’m proud of you,” he said with a warm smile. “Asking for help is a smart thing to do.”
Lily felt much happier and more confident. She gave Dad a big hug to thank him for being so kind and patient. Soon she was back to playing, smiling brighter than ever.
That evening, Lily told Mom all about her day and how Dad had helped her without making her feel embarrassed. Mom smiled proudly and thanked Dad for teaching Lily with love, patience, and respect.
From that day on, Lily became more confident about using the potty and remembering to wash her hands afterward. She learned that growing up takes practice, and with caring parents by her side, every new lesson became a little easier and a lot more joyful.
