The morning sun had just risen when little monkey Cutis followed Dad into the dragon fruit garden. To make the garden even safer, Cutis hung a few colorful ribbons that fluttered in the breeze. The moving ribbons gently discouraged curious birds from landing near the ripest fruits without harming them. He also helped Dad remove fallen leaves and weeds so the garden stayed clean and healthy.
Several days later, it was finally harvest time. The dragon fruits looked bright, fresh, and perfectly protected. When Dad removed the bags, every fruit had smooth skin and beautiful color. They carefully picked basket after basket of sweet dragon fruit together.
Back at home, Mom was delighted by the successful harvest. She washed the fresh fruit and prepared chilled dragon fruit smoothies and colorful fruit bowls for the family. Everyone enjoyed the naturally sweet taste while praising Cutis for his thoughtful idea.
Dad smiled and gently patted Cutis on the head. “Being clever isn’t just about solving problems,” he said. “It’s about protecting nature with kindness and patience.”
