It was a warm, sunny afternoon, and little monkey LYLY could hardly contain her excitement. Mom had promised they would spend the day at the swimming pool, and LYLY had been counting down the hours all morning. She quickly put on her colorful swimsuit, grabbed her tiny towel, and was almost ready to leave.
But just as Mom called, “Come on, LYLY! It’s time to go,” the little monkey disappeared into her bedroom.
A few minutes later, LYLY came waddling out with a huge basket in her arms. It was overflowing with teddy bears of every size and color. There were fluffy brown bears, tiny pink bears, a sleepy panda bear, and even a little teddy wearing a sailor hat.
Mom blinked in surprise.
“LYLY,” she asked with a smile, “why are you carrying all of your teddy bears?”
LYLY grinned from ear to ear.
“They’re my best friends! They all want to go swimming with us!”
Mom couldn’t help but laugh. “All of them?”
“Yes!” LYLY replied proudly. “They’ve never been to the pool before. They’ll have so much fun!”
The sight of LYLY struggling to carry the giant basket while talking to each teddy bear made Mom burst into laughter. LYLY even introduced them one by one, saying, “This is Coco. She likes floating. Benny wants to splash. And Mr. Panda is a little scared of the water, so we have to help him.”
Mom wiped away happy tears from laughing so much.
At the pool, LYLY carefully lined up her teddy bears on a dry bench under a big umbrella. She pretended each one was wearing an invisible life jacket and gave them a funny swimming lesson before jumping into the shallow water herself.
“Kick your feet! Don’t forget to smile!” she called out to her teddy audience.
Other families nearby noticed LYLY’s adorable game and smiled at her imagination. Some children even waved at the teddy bears as if they were real swimming buddies.
After splashing around, LYLY wrapped each teddy bear in a tiny towel she had packed especially for them. Mom shook her head with another laugh and said, “I think your teddy bears had just as much fun as you did!”
LYLY hugged her favorite teddy tightly and smiled.
“They’re happiest when we’re together.”
Mom gave LYLY a warm hug, grateful for her daughter’s kind heart and wonderful imagination. That simple trip to the pool became a joyful family memory filled with laughter, love, and a whole team of very lucky teddy bear friends.
