Little Monkey Abu was usually the happiest and most playful monkey in the family. Every morning, he loved climbing trees, chasing butterflies, and laughing as he explored the garden. But one morning, something felt different.
Abu stayed curled up in his little bed, looking tired and quiet. His bright eyes seemed sleepy, and he didn’t even want to eat his favorite banana. When Mom gently touched his forehead, she knew he wasn’t feeling well.
“Oh, my sweet Abu,” Mom whispered lovingly. “You need to rest today.”
Wanting to help her little monkey recover naturally, Mom walked into the garden and carefully picked fresh healing herbs that had been used in the family for generations. She chose fragrant lemongrass, mint leaves, and other gentle herbs known for their soothing aroma. After washing them carefully, she placed them into warm water to create a comforting herbal bath.
Soon, the bathroom filled with a fresh, relaxing scent.
Mom slowly carried Abu to the small wooden tub. The warm herbal water felt gentle against his fur, and Abu immediately began to relax. Mom softly poured the herbal water over his little body while gently rubbing his back and shoulders.
“It’s okay, Abu,” she said with a warm smile. “You’ll feel better soon.”
Abu closed his eyes and enjoyed the peaceful bath. The warmth and his mother’s loving care made him feel safe and comforted. After the bath, Mom wrapped him in a soft towel and dried his fluffy fur before dressing him in clean, cozy clothes.
She then prepared a warm bowl of light soup and fresh fruit, encouraging Abu to eat a little before taking a long nap.
Several hours later, Abu slowly opened his eyes. He smiled at Mom and gave her a big hug. His energy was beginning to return, and he even managed a tiny laugh that made Mom’s heart melt.
Although Abu still needed plenty of rest, he was already feeling much better thanks to his mother’s gentle care, warm herbal bath, nutritious food, and lots of love.
Sometimes, the greatest medicine isn’t found in a bottle—it comes from a caring heart, gentle hands, and the unconditional love of family.
