It was a warm afternoon on the family farm, and everyone was busy with their daily chores. Mom was watering the vegetable garden while little Monkey Abu happily played nearby. Abu had been helping collect ripe tomatoes earlier, so he was already thinking about one thing—snack time!
While Mom focused on her work, Abu quietly wandered toward the fruit basket sitting under a shady tree. Inside were delicious bananas, sweet corn, and juicy mangoes prepared for the whole family to enjoy later. Abu looked around carefully to make sure no one was watching.
“I’ll just take one little snack,” he whispered with a mischievous smile.
Just as Abu reached for a banana, the cameraman filming the family’s adventures noticed everything. Abu froze, expecting the cameraman to tell Mom immediately. Instead, the cameraman smiled warmly and quietly winked at Abu.
“Don’t worry,” the cameraman whispered. “You’ve been working hard today. One snack before dinner isn’t such a big secret.”
Abu giggled with excitement and quickly peeled the banana. He happily shared a small piece with the cameraman as a thank-you before finishing his tasty treat.
A few minutes later, Mom returned and noticed the empty banana peel. She raised an eyebrow and asked, “Hmm… Who enjoyed a snack before lunch?”
Abu tried his best to hide his smile, but his little face turned bright red. Before he could answer, the cameraman gently spoke up.
“Abu worked very hard helping in the garden today,” he explained kindly. “He only had one banana because he was hungry. I thought he deserved a little reward.”
Mom looked at Abu, who lowered his head, expecting to be scolded. Instead, she smiled softly and laughed.
“So that’s the secret!” Mom said. “Next time, just ask me first. Hardworking helpers always deserve a healthy snack.”
Relieved, Abu hugged his mom tightly and promised to ask before taking food again. The cameraman smiled as he continued recording the sweet family moment.
