It was one of the hottest afternoons of the summer, and little LYLY the monkey could hardly sit still. The sun was shining brightly, the air felt warm, and even the birds seemed too tired to sing. While her mom watered the garden and took care of the vegetables, LYLY searched for a fun way to cool herself down.
At first, she tried sitting under a shady tree, but it was still too warm. She waved a large banana leaf like a fan, but it only helped for a few seconds. Then her curious eyes spotted a garden hose lying beside a bucket of water. A mischievous smile spread across her face as she came up with her own clever idea.
Before Mom could notice, LYLY grabbed the hose and turned on the water. A powerful stream sprayed into the air, creating a sparkling fountain. Laughing with excitement, LYLY jumped, danced, and spun around under the cool water. She splashed everywhere, soaking herself from head to toe. The grass became wet, little puddles formed around her feet, and water even sprayed onto the nearby flowers.
When Mom finally heard LYLY’s cheerful giggles, she rushed over to see what was happening. “LYLY!” she called, trying not to laugh. But by the time she arrived, it was already too late. LYLY was completely drenched and happily sliding across the wet grass like it was her own little water park.
Mom tried to catch her playful daughter, but LYLY kept running in circles, giggling louder every second. She even shook her wet fur like a puppy, splashing cool water all over Mom. Soon, Mom couldn’t help but burst into laughter too. Instead of being upset, she realized LYLY was simply trying to beat the heat in the funniest way possible.
After all the excitement, Mom gently wrapped LYLY in a soft towel and gave her a refreshing drink of fresh fruit juice. The two sat together under the shade, smiling and enjoying the cool breeze.
