It was a beautiful afternoon, and the warm sunshine filled the garden with golden light. After finishing her homework and tidying up her toys, little LYLY looked out the window and saw her friends laughing and playing outside. She was eager to join them, but she remembered something her mother had taught her: always ask for permission before leaving the house.
With a cheerful smile, LYLY walked into the kitchen where her mother was preparing fresh fruit for the family. Instead of rushing out the door, she gently hugged her mom and gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek.
“Mom,” LYLY said politely, “may I go outside and play with my friends for a little while?”
Her mother smiled warmly at the thoughtful gesture. She stroked LYLY’s head and replied, “Thank you for asking so politely. I’m happy you remembered. Yes, you may go, but please stay near the playground, be kind to everyone, and come home before dinner.”
LYLY nodded happily. “I promise, Mom!”
Before running outside, she gave her mother one more little kiss and said, “Thank you! I’ll be careful.”
Outside, LYLY and her friends enjoyed an exciting afternoon. They played hide-and-seek, skipped rope, chased colorful butterflies, and built funny little houses from sticks and leaves. Everyone laughed together, and LYLY made sure to include a younger child who was too shy to join at first. Her kindness made the games even more enjoyable.
As the sun slowly began to set, LYLY remembered the promise she had made. While some of her friends wanted to keep playing, she smiled and said, “I have to go home now. I told my mom I’d be back before dinner.”
When she arrived home, her mother was waiting at the front door with a proud smile. “Welcome back, LYLY! Thank you for keeping your promise.”
LYLY happily hugged her mother again and told her all about the fun games they had played. Mom listened carefully and praised her for being responsible, respectful, and honest.
That evening, the family shared a delicious dinner filled with laughter and happy stories. Mom reminded LYLY that asking for permission wasn’t just a family rule—it was a way to show love, respect, and responsibility.
LYLY smiled brightly as she gave her mother another gentle kiss. She realized that even a small act of kindness, like asking politely and saying goodbye with a hug and a kiss, could make her mother feel loved and reassured. From that day on, LYLY always remembered that good manners and a caring heart make every adventure even more meaningful.
