Early one sunny morning, Smart Monkey Zika woke up with a cheerful smile. As he stretched beneath the tall mango tree, he heard a tiny quacking sound. It was his little duckling friend, who looked hungry and a bit tired after playing by the pond all morning. Zika gently patted the duckling’s head and promised to prepare a delicious dinner.
Looking across the farm, Zika noticed a patch of ripe, juicy watermelons glowing in the warm sunlight. He quickly grabbed his sturdy wooden cart, tied a rope around his waist, and happily pulled it toward the watermelon field. Although the cart was old and heavy, Zika worked hard without complaining because he wanted to make his little friend happy.
When Zika reached the field, he carefully checked each watermelon. He tapped them one by one, listening for the perfect hollow sound that meant they were sweet and ripe. After choosing the best ones, he gently picked them up and placed them into the wooden cart. Soon, the cart was filled with fresh green watermelons.
The trip back home was not easy. The cart became heavier with every watermelon, and the path was bumpy. Still, Zika smiled and kept pulling with all his strength. Along the way, friendly birds chirped encouraging songs, while butterflies fluttered around him as if cheering him on.
Back at the little farmhouse, Zika washed the watermelons carefully with clean water. He sliced them into neat pieces and arranged them on a large wooden tray. The sweet aroma filled the air, making the duckling flap its tiny wings with excitement. They sat together under a shady tree and enjoyed the refreshing watermelon feast.
As the sun slowly disappeared behind the hills, Zika and the duckling shared laughter and happy stories. The simple meal became a wonderful memory because it was prepared with kindness, love, and hard work.
That evening, the duckling thanked Zika with a warm hug and a joyful quack. Zika realized that helping a friend and sharing food brought the greatest happiness of all. From that day on, they continued working together, proving that friendship, generosity, and teamwork can turn even the simplest harvest into a truly special dinner.
