Little Monkey LYLY woke up full of energy and creativity. Instead of spending the morning playing in the yard, she came up with a surprising idea—she wanted to build her very own straw nest! Without telling anyone, LYLY grabbed a tiny basket and began collecting dry straw, soft leaves, and fluffy grass from around the garden.
She worked carefully, carrying small bundles of straw back and forth. At first, the pile looked messy, but LYLY had a plan. She twisted the straw into circles, stacked the layers one by one, and even tucked colorful flowers around the edges to make her nest look extra special. Every few minutes, she stepped back to admire her work before adding another creative touch.
As the hours passed, the unusual nest became bigger and funnier than anyone could have imagined. It wasn’t perfectly round like a bird’s nest. One side leaned slightly, the entrance was much too small, and the roof looked like it might fall over at any moment. But to LYLY, it was a masterpiece.
When Mom returned from gathering fruit, she noticed the strange straw structure sitting proudly in the middle of the yard. Curious, she slowly walked over to inspect it. The moment LYLY excitedly announced, “I built it all by myself!” Mom froze in surprise. She looked at the crooked little nest, then at LYLY’s proud smile, and didn’t know whether to laugh or clap.

She praised her daughter’s imagination and hard work, explaining that every great builder starts by trying something new. Together, they adjusted the roof, widened the entrance, and added a few stronger sticks to make the nest more comfortable.
Soon, the cozy straw nest became LYLY’s favorite place to relax. She happily curled up inside while Mom smiled from nearby, proud of her little monkey’s determination and creativity. Although the nest wasn’t perfect, it became a wonderful reminder that imagination, effort, and a little laughter can create the happiest family memories.
