After several hot and exhausting days, LYLY was desperately waiting for one thing—the rain! The weather had been scorching, and every afternoon felt almost unbearable. LYLY often sat outside with her dad, staring at the sky and hoping to see dark clouds appear.
Then, one afternoon, something amazing happened.
A cool breeze suddenly swept through the yard. The leaves began dancing, and dark clouds slowly covered the bright sky. LYLY looked up with wide, excited eyes. She knew exactly what was coming.
“Rain! Rain!” LYLY seemed to shout happily as she hurried outside.
The first few drops landed on her head, and instead of running for shelter, LYLY lifted her face toward the sky. She jumped, danced, and spun around in excitement. After waiting so long for the rain, she wanted to enjoy every second of it.
Dad watched from nearby, laughing at LYLY’s happiness.
But suddenly, the rain became much heavier than LYLY expected!
Within moments, the gentle drizzle turned into a powerful downpour. Water splashed everywhere, the ground became muddy, and the wind started blowing strongly.
LYLY froze.
Her happy expression quickly changed into a look of surprise.
“What is going on?” she seemed to wonder.
She tried to run back toward the house, but the muddy ground made her feet slippery. LYLY carefully took one step, then another, trying not to fall. Unfortunately, one little foot slipped into the mud!
SPLASH!
LYLY landed right in the muddy puddle.
Dad couldn’t stop laughing, while LYLY looked at herself in complete disbelief. Her fur was wet, her feet were covered in mud, and her beautiful rainy-day adventure had turned into an unexpected bath!
Still, LYLY soon started laughing too. She realized that although the rain had surprised her, it had also brought a funny and unforgettable moment.
Dad quickly picked up a towel and helped LYLY back inside. After drying her carefully, he gave her a warm cuddle.
LYLY may have welcomed the rain a little too enthusiastically, but one thing was certain—the rainy day became a memory she would never forget!
