It was a quiet afternoon at home, and little Abu the monkey was sitting peacefully with his mom. Everything seemed normal, but Abu had a secret plan.
He was thinking about snacks!
Mom had prepared some delicious treats and placed them on the kitchen table. She clearly told Abu to wait until snack time, but Abu’s eyes kept wandering toward the tempting food.
After a few minutes, Abu decided he couldn’t wait any longer.
He quietly looked around.
Mom was busy doing something nearby, so Abu slowly got up and tiptoed toward the kitchen. He tried to make himself as small and quiet as possible.
When he reached the table, Abu carefully grabbed one snack.

He quickly hid it behind his back and started walking away.
But just as Abu thought he had escaped, Mom suddenly turned around.
“Abu!”
Abu froze.
He stood completely still, pretending nothing had happened.
Mom looked at him suspiciously.
Abu tried to act innocent, but there was one big problem—the snack was still clearly visible behind his back!
Mom walked closer and asked him what he was hiding.
Abu shook his head and tried to look away.
Mom gently reached behind him and discovered the snack.
Abu’s face immediately became hilarious. He looked at Mom, then at the snack, and then back at Mom as if he was hoping she might forget what she had just seen.
Mom couldn’t stop laughing.
Instead of getting angry, she gently reminded Abu that he needed to wait for snack time. Abu seemed to understand, but his eyes were still fixed on the delicious treats.
Mom decided to give him a small piece as a reward for telling the truth.
Abu happily accepted it and sat beside Mom.
But a few minutes later, Mom noticed Abu looking toward the snack table again.
She raised an eyebrow.
Abu quickly turned his head away and pretended to be interested in something else.
Mom burst out laughing.
The funny little incident became a sweet family memory. Abu may have been caught sneaking snacks, but his innocent expression made it impossible for Mom to stay serious.
From that day on, Mom kept a closer eye on Abu whenever snacks were around.
And Abu?
