It was a bright and peaceful morning when Zika decided that today would be a perfect day to help Dad around the house. As Dad gathered a large basket of dirty laundry, Zika watched carefully, curious about what he was planning to do.
Instead of running off to play, Zika proudly followed Dad to the washing area. Dad began sorting the clothes, and Zika quickly wanted to help. He picked up the smaller pieces one by one and placed them into the basket. Sometimes he grabbed the wrong item, but Dad simply laughed and patiently showed him what to do.
Soon, the washing machine was running, and Zika seemed very proud of his work. He even helped Dad carry the clean clothes outside to dry. Although the clothes were sometimes difficult for him to carry, Zika refused to give up. His determination made Dad smile.
But Zika’s busy morning was not finished yet.
Nearby, a tiny duckling was wandering around the yard. The little bird looked curious but also a little nervous without its mother nearby. Zika immediately noticed it and became very gentle. He slowly approached the duckling, making sure not to frighten it.
Zika carefully watched over the little bird while Dad continued hanging clothes. When the duckling walked too far away, Zika gently guided it back toward a safe area. He even stayed beside it as if he were its little babysitter.
Dad soon noticed what Zika was doing and was touched by his caring behavior. He praised Zika for being such a helpful assistant and a gentle friend to the duckling.
After the laundry was finished, Dad brought some food and water for the little bird. Zika happily stayed nearby, watching as the duckling ate and drank.
By the end of the morning, the laundry was clean, the clothes were neatly hanging in the sunshine, and the duckling was safe and comfortable. Zika had managed to help Dad with an important chore while also taking care of a tiny animal in need.
It was a simple morning, but Zika showed that being helpful is not only about doing big things. Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. Dad couldn’t have been prouder of his little helper. ❤️
