Monkey Lyly Is Planning to Get Her Mom to Stop Her from Watching Movies on the Computer

Monkey Lyly loved watching movies on the computer. Every evening, after finishing her snacks, she would quickly sit in front of the screen and start another exciting film. At first, it seemed harmless and fun. But little by little, Lyly began spending more and more time watching movies instead of playing outside or helping around the house.

Lyly’s mom started to notice the change. “Lyly, you’ve been watching movies for too long,” Mom said one day. “Too much screen time isn’t good for you.”

But Lyly always had the same reply. “Just one more movie, Mom! I’ll stop after this one,” she promised. Of course, after one movie finished, another one would begin.

One afternoon, Lyly suddenly realized something important. She felt tired, and her eyes were sore from staring at the computer all day. She also missed playing in the garden and climbing trees with her friends. That’s when she decided it was time to change her habit.

However, Lyly knew it would be hard to stop by herself. The movies were just too interesting! So she came up with a clever plan—she would ask Mom to help stop her from watching too many movies.

That evening, Lyly walked over to her mom with a thoughtful look on her face. “Mom, I need your help,” she said.

Mom looked surprised. “What kind of help?”

Lyly explained her plan. “If you see me watching movies for too long, please remind me to stop. You can even turn off the computer if I forget.”

Mom smiled warmly. She was proud that Lyly understood the problem and wanted to fix it. “That’s a very smart idea,” Mom said. “We can make a rule—only one movie a day, and the rest of the time you can play, read, or help around the house.”

Lyly happily agreed. The next day, instead of sitting at the computer all afternoon, she went outside to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

From that moment on, Lyly learned an important lesson: movies can be fun, but balance is the key to staying happy and healthy.
