LYLY woke up one morning feeling very hungry and suddenly had a wonderful idea. Instead of waiting for Mom to prepare breakfast, she decided that she would make a delicious meal all by herself. LYLY was excited to prove that she could be a great little chef!
She hurried into the kitchen and began looking through the cupboards. There were vegetables, fruit, eggs, flour, and many other ingredients. LYLY wanted to use everything she could find because she believed that more ingredients would make the meal taste even better.
At first, everything seemed to be going well. LYLY carefully placed a bowl on the table and started mixing her ingredients. But before long, flour was scattered across the floor, eggshells were everywhere, and pieces of vegetables had somehow ended up under the chairs!
LYLY continued cooking without noticing the growing mess around her. She was completely focused on creating the most delicious meal she had ever tasted. She stirred, mixed, chopped, and added a little of this and a little of that.
Then came the funniest moment. LYLY accidentally spilled flour all over herself! Her face, hands, and clothes were covered in white powder. Instead of becoming upset, LYLY looked at herself and began laughing. She looked like a tiny chef who had just survived a cooking disaster!
When Mom finally walked into the kitchen, she stopped in surprise. The entire room looked like a storm had passed through it. There was flour on the floor, food on the table, and dishes scattered everywhere.
Mom looked at LYLY, expecting an explanation.
LYLY proudly pointed to her meal and smiled. She had made all that mess for one simple reason—she wanted to prepare something delicious for herself!
Mom could not stay angry for long. Seeing LYLY’s proud and excited face made her smile. After tasting the food, Mom was surprised to discover that it was actually quite delicious!
Although the kitchen needed a lot of cleaning, LYLY had learned something important: cooking can be fun, but cleaning up afterward is also part of being a good chef.
With a broom in one hand and a happy smile on her face, LYLY was ready for her next adventure! ❤️
