It had been a peaceful morning at home when Abu suddenly stopped playing and held his little tummy. Just moments earlier, he had been happily running around and exploring everything in sight. But now, his cheerful expression had disappeared.
Mom immediately noticed that something was wrong.
“Abu, what happened?” she asked gently.
Abu looked at her with worried eyes and curled up quietly beside her. He kept one hand on his stomach, showing Mom that he was uncomfortable. Seeing him so different from his usual energetic self made Mom’s heart sink.
She quickly sat beside him and gave him a gentle hug. She spoke softly, trying to keep him calm while she watched his behavior carefully.
“Don’t worry, Mom is right here,” she whispered.
Abu leaned against her and became unusually quiet. Mom offered him some water and made sure he was resting comfortably. She didn’t want him running around or eating anything that might make his stomach feel worse.
As the minutes passed, Mom’s concern grew. She kept checking on Abu, gently comforting him whenever he looked uncomfortable.
Normally, Abu would have been busy playing with his favorite toys, climbing around, or looking for something exciting to investigate. Today, however, he simply wanted to stay close to Mom.
Mom gently stroked his head.
“Just rest, little one. You’ll feel better soon.”
Abu slowly closed his eyes and relaxed against her.
Mom stayed beside him, refusing to leave him alone. She carefully watched for any changes and made sure he had a quiet, comfortable place to rest. Her worried expression showed just how much she cared.
After some time, Abu seemed a little calmer. He looked up at Mom and gave her a tiny smile.
Mom immediately smiled back.
“That’s my brave boy.”
Although she was still concerned, seeing Abu relax gave her a little hope. She continued giving him plenty of affection and attention, knowing that sometimes the greatest comfort comes from simply being beside someone you love.
The experience reminded Mom how quickly an ordinary day could change. One moment Abu was happily playing, and the next, he needed his mother’s comforting arms.
As Abu rested peacefully beside her, Mom held him close and whispered, “No matter what happens, I’ll always be here for you.”
For Mom, nothing mattered more than seeing her beloved Abu safe, comfortable, and smiling again. ❤️
