The morning sun had just risen when CUTIS excitedly ran outside and looked toward the garden. Today was a very special day because the passion fruits were finally ready to harvest!
“Dad! Mom! Come quickly!” CUTIS called happily.
Dad and Mom came outside with big baskets in their hands. When they saw CUTIS jumping up and down with excitement, they could not help but laugh.
“Our little farmer is ready to work!” Dad said.
CUTIS proudly nodded and picked up a small basket. The whole family walked together toward the passion fruit garden. The vines were filled with beautiful, round fruits hanging among the green leaves.
CUTIS looked around in amazement.
“Wow! There are so many!” he exclaimed.
Dad showed CUTIS how to carefully choose the ripe passion fruits. Some were deep purple, while others had just the right color and texture to be picked.
“Be gentle,” Mom reminded him. “We want to take good care of the plants.”
CUTIS listened carefully. He reached up with both hands, gently picked a ripe fruit, and placed it proudly into his basket.
“One!” he shouted.
Soon, CUTIS was happily searching for more. Every time he found another ripe passion fruit, his face lit up with excitement. Mom picked the fruits from the higher branches while Dad carried the heavy baskets.
The garden was soon filled with laughter.
At one point, CUTIS tried to carry a basket that was much too heavy for him. He took two tiny steps before stopping and looking surprised.
“It’s so heavy!” he said.
Dad laughed and helped him carry it. CUTIS smiled shyly, but he was determined to keep helping his family.
After a busy morning, the baskets were filled with fresh, delicious passion fruits. The family sat together under the shade of a tree and admired their hard work.
Mom cut open one of the fruits, and the sweet, refreshing smell filled the air. CUTIS eagerly tasted it and smiled from ear to ear.
“Delicious!” he said.
Dad gently patted CUTIS on the head. “Everything tastes even better when the family works together.”
CUTIS looked at Mom and Dad and smiled warmly. The harvest was not only about collecting fruit—it was about sharing laughter, helping one another, and creating beautiful memories together.
As they walked home carrying their baskets, CUTIS felt proud and happy.
