What Is Going On, LYLY? LYLY Went Back to Sleep, Misled by the Gloomy Morning Weather

Early one morning, LYLY slowly opened her eyes and looked around the room. Outside, the sky was dark and cloudy, and soft rain clouds covered the sunlight. The room felt unusually quiet and cozy.

LYLY sat up for a moment, rubbed her sleepy eyes, and looked toward the window. Normally, she would hear birds singing and see bright sunshine coming through the curtains. But today, everything looked gray and gloomy.

LYLY yawned.

“Is it still nighttime?” she seemed to wonder.

She glanced toward her mother, who was already awake and getting ready for the morning. Mom smiled when she noticed LYLY sitting up.

“Good morning, LYLY!” Mom gently called.

But LYLY wasn’t convinced.

She looked outside again. There was no bright sunshine, and the cloudy sky made the morning feel much later than it really was. After thinking for a few seconds, LYLY decided that getting out of bed could wait.

She slowly pulled the blanket back over herself.

Then she curled up into a tiny ball and closed her eyes again.

Mom couldn’t help but laugh.

“What is going on with you today?” she asked affectionately.

LYLY gave a sleepy little movement under the blanket, as if saying, “It’s still nighttime!”

Mom sat beside her and gently patted her back. She understood exactly what had happened. The gloomy weather had completely fooled LYLY into thinking it was still time to sleep.

A few minutes later, LYLY was fast asleep again, looking incredibly peaceful.

Mom decided not to disturb her right away. She quietly went about her morning routine while LYLY enjoyed a few extra minutes of cozy sleep.

Eventually, a little more daylight appeared through the clouds. LYLY opened one eye and looked around.

This time, she realized something was different.

She suddenly sat up and looked at Mom.

“Morning already?”

Mom smiled and nodded.

LYLY stretched her arms, yawned, and finally climbed out of bed.

Everyone found her sleepy morning adventure adorable. Sometimes, even the brightest little personalities need an extra few minutes of rest—especially when the weather is gloomy enough to make morning feel like midnight!
