It was a quiet afternoon at home, but something felt different. Mom was sitting peacefully in a corner, looking down with tears in her eyes. She was thinking about Lala and all the precious memories they had shared together.
The baby monkey noticed that Mom wasn’t her usual cheerful self. He stopped playing and watched her carefully from across the room. His little face became serious as he tried to understand why Mom was so sad.
Slowly, he walked over and sat beside her.
Mom gently wiped her tears, but the baby monkey knew she was still hurting. He reached out his tiny hand and touched her arm. Then he leaned against her, hoping his warmth would make her feel a little better.
Mom looked down at him and smiled through her tears.
“You’re such a sweet little monkey,” she whispered.
The baby monkey wasn’t finished. He wanted to make Mom happy again. He picked up one of his favorite toys and brought it to her. He placed it carefully in her lap, as if offering his most valuable treasure.
Mom laughed softly.
The baby monkey became excited when he heard her laugh. He started making his funniest little expressions, bouncing around and gently waving his arms. His goal was simple: make Mom smile.
For a few moments, Mom forgot about her sadness and laughed at his silly behavior. She pulled him close and gave him a warm hug.
But the baby monkey could sense that Mom was still thinking about Lala. He quietly cuddled against her chest and stayed there without making a sound.
Mom gently stroked his head.
“I miss Lala so much,” she said softly.
The baby monkey looked into her eyes and gave her a gentle little hug, almost as if he were saying, “I’m here, Mom. You don’t have to be alone.”
Those simple gestures touched Mom deeply. She realized that although she couldn’t change what had happened, she still had love surrounding her.
The baby monkey stayed beside her for the rest of the afternoon. Sometimes he played, sometimes he cuddled, and sometimes he simply sat quietly beside her.
By evening, Mom was smiling again. Her heart was still filled with memories of Lala, but the baby’s love had brought a little light back into her day.
It was a beautiful reminder that comfort doesn’t always need words. Sometimes, a tiny hug from someone who cares can make even the heaviest heart feel a little lighter. ❤️🐒
