Monkey LYLY had been having a wonderful afternoon. After spending the morning playing outside, she came back into the house feeling tired but happy. Her favorite place to relax was her mother’s old rocking chair, where she loved to sit, swing gently, and cuddle with her soft blanket.
LYLY climbed onto the rocking chair and began rocking herself back and forth. At first, everything was perfectly fine. She giggled happily as the chair moved.
But then, things suddenly went wrong!
LYLY leaned a little too far to one side, and the rocking chair moved unexpectedly. Her blanket slipped onto the floor, and a small basket sitting beside the chair tipped over. Toys, clothes, and a few pieces of paper scattered everywhere.
“Oh no!” LYLY seemed to say as she stared at the mess.
She quickly climbed down and looked around nervously. Her eyes became wide when she realized that her mother might soon discover what had happened. LYLY tried to pick everything up, but in her hurry, she accidentally pushed a few more things onto the floor.
Now the mess was even bigger!
LYLY became completely flustered. She sat beside the rocking chair with her hands over her face, looking as if she was trying to think of a solution.
Just then, Mom walked into the room.
LYLY immediately looked at her mother with an innocent expression. She pointed toward the rocking chair and then toward the scattered toys, almost as if she were explaining the whole story.
Mom looked at the mess and then at LYLY.
Instead of getting angry, Mom smiled.
She gently told LYLY that accidents happen, but it was important to help clean them up. LYLY seemed relieved. She quickly got to work.
She picked up the toys one by one, gathered the papers, and placed the clothes back into the basket. Mom helped her straighten the rocking chair and fold the blanket.
When everything was clean again, LYLY proudly climbed back onto the chair—but this time, she sat very carefully!
Mom gave her a warm hug, and LYLY smiled happily.
What started as a messy accident became a sweet little lesson for LYLY: having fun is wonderful, but being responsible afterward makes Mom even happier!
