One sunny afternoon, Monkey Lyly was playing happily around the house while her mother stepped outside to take care of a few chores. Lyly had been busy playing with her favorite toys, jumping around, and exploring every corner of the yard. But after a while, her little tummy began to rumble.
“Grumble, grumble!” went her stomach.
Lyly stopped playing and placed both hands on her belly. She looked around, hoping her mother would bring her something to eat. But Mom was still outside and nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, Lyly had an idea.
She quickly ran toward the kitchen.
When she arrived, Lyly carefully looked around. She opened one container, then another, searching for something delicious. She checked the table, peeked beside the baskets, and even looked underneath a chair.
“No food here!” Lyly seemed to think.
Then she spotted a basket filled with fresh fruits.
Her eyes immediately became wide with excitement!
Lyly reached for a banana and happily carried it to the table. But before eating it, she noticed some other delicious-looking fruit nearby. She became curious and started inspecting everything.
Just as Lyly was about to enjoy her snack, she heard footsteps approaching.
Mom was coming back!
Lyly froze for a moment, holding the banana in her hands. She looked toward the doorway and realized that she had entered the kitchen without asking.
Her mother walked in and saw Lyly standing beside the fruit basket.
Instead of getting angry, Mom smiled and gently asked, “Are you hungry, little one?”
Lyly nodded quickly and rubbed her tummy.
Mom laughed softly and sat beside her. She peeled the banana and prepared a small plate of fruit for Lyly. The hungry little monkey happily ate her snack while sitting beside her mother.
After finishing, Lyly gave Mom a big hug as if saying thank you.
Mom reminded her that whenever she felt hungry, she should ask for help instead of searching through the kitchen alone.
Lyly nodded seriously—but then she spotted another banana and smiled.
Mom laughed. “Alright, one more!”
Lyly happily enjoyed her treat, learning that asking Mom was always the best way to get a delicious snack. ❤️🐒🍌
