One peaceful afternoon, Baby Monkey was happily playing near the house when she suddenly noticed something unusual. The little baby nearby was sitting alone, looking around with a slightly worried expression.
Baby Monkey immediately stopped playing.
She watched carefully from a short distance, wondering what was wrong.
“Is the baby okay?” she seemed to think.
Baby Monkey slowly walked closer. She looked around to see if Mom or Dad was nearby, but nobody was close enough to help.
The baby began to move toward the edge of the yard.
Baby Monkey became even more concerned.
She quickly hurried over and gently stood in front of the baby, as if trying to keep the little one from going any farther.
“Stay here,” Baby Monkey seemed to say.
The baby looked at her curiously.
Baby Monkey sat beside the little one and kept watch. She looked toward the house, then back at the baby. Every little sound made her turn her head.
Suddenly, a loud noise came from somewhere nearby.
The baby became startled.
Baby Monkey immediately moved closer and gently held the baby, trying her best to keep the little one calm.
But Baby Monkey knew she couldn’t handle everything by herself.
She needed Dad.
Baby Monkey looked toward the house and began making loud sounds.
“Dad! Dad!”
She waved her little arms and kept calling until someone noticed.
A moment later, Dad came running over.
“What happened?” Dad asked.
Baby Monkey quickly pointed toward the baby.
Dad understood immediately.
“You were worried about the baby?”
Baby Monkey nodded and stayed close to the little one.
Dad carefully checked that everything was safe and then smiled proudly at Baby Monkey.
“You did the right thing by staying nearby and calling me.”
Baby Monkey seemed relieved. She leaned against Dad while still keeping one eye on the baby.
Dad gently patted her head.
“You’re very caring, but remember, you should always call an adult when you need help.”
Baby Monkey nodded.
The baby soon became happy again and started playing. Seeing that, Baby Monkey finally relaxed.
Dad smiled as he watched them together.
“You may be little, but you have a very big heart.”
Baby Monkey looked up at Dad proudly before giving the baby a gentle cuddle.
That afternoon, she learned an important lesson: being brave doesn’t mean doing everything alone. Sometimes the bravest thing is knowing when to ask Dad for help.
