One beautiful morning, Lily woke up early and heard Dad moving around in the kitchen. She quickly got out of bed and followed the delicious sounds coming from downstairs.
When Lily entered the kitchen, she saw Dad preparing breakfast. On the table were bananas, strawberries, mangoes, and a few fresh oranges.
“What are you making, Dad?” Lily seemed to ask curiously.
Dad smiled and said, “We’re making healthy fruit smoothies for breakfast!”
Lily’s eyes immediately lit up. She loved fruit smoothies, and she was excited to become Dad’s little kitchen helper.
Dad washed the fruit while Lily carefully helped arrange everything on the table. She picked up the bananas and counted them one by one. Then she pointed proudly at the strawberries, showing Dad which ones were the biggest.
“Chef Lily is ready!” Dad joked.
Lily looked very serious as she put on her little apron. Dad couldn’t help laughing when she posed like a professional chef.
Together, they began preparing the smoothies. Dad cut the larger pieces of fruit, while Lily helped place the smaller pieces into the blender cup. She carefully added bananas, strawberries, and mango.
Then Dad added some yogurt and milk.
“Is that enough?” Lily seemed to ask.
Dad nodded and smiled.
When everything was ready, Dad placed the lid securely on the blender. Lily stood beside him and watched with great excitement.
The blender suddenly started making a loud buzzing sound.
Lily jumped back in surprise!
Dad laughed, and Lily soon realized there was nothing to fear. She came closer and watched the colorful fruit mixture turn into a smooth, creamy drink.
When the smoothies were finished, Dad poured them into two cups. Lily proudly carried hers to the breakfast table.
Dad took the first sip and gave a big thumbs-up.
“Delicious! Chef Lily did an amazing job!”
Lily happily clapped her hands.
Soon, the whole family gathered around the table and enjoyed the fresh smoothies together. Lily felt incredibly proud because she had helped Dad prepare breakfast.
