Mom thought she was going to have a peaceful afternoon at home, but CUTIS and Yen Nhi had a completely different plan. The two were sitting together quietly, exchanging suspicious looks and tiny smiles. Something was definitely going on.
Yen Nhi pointed toward Mom, then whispered something to CUTIS. CUTIS immediately nodded as if they had just agreed on a top-secret mission.
Mom was busy preparing things around the house and didn’t notice anything unusual. Meanwhile, CUTIS and Yen Nhi carefully disappeared into another room. They tried their best to stay quiet, but their excitement made it difficult for them to stop giggling.
A few moments later, Mom heard a strange sound.
“Who is making that noise?” she asked.
There was no answer.
Mom walked around the house looking for CUTIS and Yen Nhi. Everything seemed completely normal. She called their names again, but nobody responded.
Then she suddenly saw CUTIS sitting in an unusual spot, looking completely innocent.
Mom became suspicious.
“CUTIS, what are you doing there?”
CUTIS stared at Mom without moving. His expression was so serious that Mom almost believed he had done nothing wrong.
Then Yen Nhi suddenly appeared behind Mom!
“Surprise!”
Mom jumped and immediately started laughing. She finally realized that CUTIS and Yen Nhi had been hiding and waiting for the perfect moment to scare her.
But that wasn’t the end of their prank.
CUTIS began making funny sounds and pretending to look for the “mystery pranksters.” Yen Nhi copied him, acting as though she had absolutely no idea what had happened.
Mom couldn’t stop laughing. She knew the two troublemakers were trying to make her believe they were innocent.
“You two planned this together, didn’t you?” Mom asked.
CUTIS quickly looked away, while Yen Nhi gave Mom the biggest innocent smile she could manage.
Their little trick was so cute that Mom couldn’t even pretend to be angry. Instead, she hugged both of them and told them they had successfully fooled her.
