It was a beautiful morning, and the sun was shining brightly outside the house. Lily’s mother was busy preparing breakfast and getting everything ready for the day. Usually, Lily was excited to start her morning, but today something was different.
When Mom told Lily it was time to get ready for school, Lily suddenly became very quiet.
She slowly shook her head and refused to get dressed. Mom was surprised by Lily’s unusual behavior. She gently asked Lily what was wrong, but Lily simply turned away and looked at her school clothes.
Mom brought Lily’s uniform and tried to encourage her. However, Lily had already made up her mind. She did not want to go to school!
Instead, Lily found a comfortable spot and sat down, hoping that if she stayed quiet, Mom might forget about school. But Mom knew exactly what Lily was trying to do.
“Lily, why don’t you want to go today?” Mom asked gently.
Lily looked a little embarrassed. She seemed worried about something but didn’t want to explain. Mom sat beside her and patiently waited.
After a moment, Lily finally showed Mom what was bothering her. She was feeling nervous about something that was going to happen at school. Mom understood immediately and comforted her.
She reminded Lily that it was normal to feel nervous sometimes. Mom told her that teachers and friends were there to help her, and there was nothing to be afraid of.
Lily slowly became more confident.
Mom then prepared Lily’s favorite breakfast and helped her get dressed. After eating, Lily looked much happier.
Just before leaving, Mom gave Lily a warm hug and encouraged her to have a wonderful day.
At first, Lily still looked unsure. But when she saw her school bag and remembered her friends, she finally smiled.
Lily happily followed Mom outside and got ready to go to school.
Mom smiled with relief. What started as a surprising morning had turned into a sweet lesson about understanding feelings and giving encouragement.
