Baby Monkey Ri Ri was sitting quietly at home one sunny morning, watching the other little monkeys playing outside. She really wanted to join them, but Dad had already told her to stay home until he finished his work.
“Ri Ri, please stay here and wait for me,” Dad said before walking away. “Don’t go outside by yourself.”
Ri Ri nodded obediently, but as soon as Dad disappeared from sight, she peeked through the window. Her friends were running, jumping, and laughing together. Ri Ri couldn’t resist the temptation.
“I’ll only play for a little while,” she whispered.
Ri Ri quietly opened the door and sneaked outside without telling Dad. At first, everything was perfect. She ran around with her friends, played hide-and-seek, and chased colorful butterflies. She was having so much fun that she completely forgot about Dad’s warning.
After a while, Ri Ri noticed some muddy puddles near the playground. Her friends started jumping over them, and Ri Ri wanted to try too.
“Watch me!” she shouted excitedly.
She took a big jump—but landed directly in the biggest muddy puddle!
SPLASH!
Mud covered her face, ears, arms, and clothes. Her friends burst into laughter, and Ri Ri quickly tried to wipe the mud away. Unfortunately, the more she rubbed, the messier she became.
Just then, Dad arrived.
He had been looking everywhere for Ri Ri and finally found her standing beside the muddy puddle.
Dad looked at her from head to toe. Ri Ri stood completely still, covered in mud, with an embarrassed expression on her face.
“Ri Ri… what happened?” Dad asked.
Ri Ri lowered her head and admitted that she had sneaked out without permission.
Dad wasn’t happy, but instead of shouting, he calmly explained why he had asked her to stay home. Ri Ri realized that she had made a mistake and promised not to sneak away again.
After getting cleaned up, Ri Ri apologized to Dad and gave him a big hug.
From that day on, Ri Ri remembered an important lesson: having fun is wonderful, but listening to Dad and staying safe is even more important! 🐵❤️
