Monkey Lyly was usually a playful and curious little monkey, but one day, she decided to be extra sneaky. Early in the morning, while her mother was busy cleaning the house and preparing breakfast, Lyly quietly disappeared from the room. She looked around carefully to make sure nobody was watching.
Lyly had a secret plan. She tiptoed toward the kitchen and spotted a basket filled with delicious fruits. Her eyes became wide with excitement. She wanted to take a few pieces of fruit and enjoy them somewhere her mother wouldn’t notice.
She carefully picked up a banana and a few sweet fruits before quickly hiding them behind her back. Then she quietly walked outside, trying her best to look innocent. Every few steps, she stopped and looked around.
But Lyly didn’t realize that her mother had already noticed her strange behavior.
Her mother quietly followed her from a distance. She watched as Lyly carried the fruit toward a cozy little corner near the garden. Lyly sat down happily and began enjoying her secret snack.
At first, everything seemed perfect. Lyly smiled as she peeled the banana and took a big bite. But suddenly, she heard footsteps behind her.
“Lyly, what are you doing?” her mother asked.
Lyly froze.
She slowly turned around and saw her mother standing there with a curious look on her face. Lyly tried to hide the fruit behind her back, but it was too late. Her mother had already seen everything.
Lyly looked embarrassed and lowered her head. She knew she had been caught.
Instead of becoming angry, her mother calmly explained that Lyly should always ask before taking food secretly. She reminded Lyly that there was plenty of fruit for everyone, and she would happily share it with her.
Lyly nodded and apologized. She promised not to sneak food away again.
Her mother smiled and gave her a gentle hug. Then they returned to the house together and prepared a delicious fruit snack to enjoy.
From that day on, Lyly learned an important lesson: being sneaky might seem exciting, but being honest and asking permission is always better. And whenever Lyly had a secret idea afterward, her mother somehow seemed to notice right away!
