After a powerful storm passed through the area, little Bobo woke up and looked outside. The rain had finally stopped, but the farm looked completely different. Fallen leaves and small branches were scattered everywhere, and some plants were bent over by the strong wind.
Bobo immediately wanted to help his mother clean up the farm. He put on his boots, grabbed a small basket, and followed Mom outside.
“Come on, Bobo! We have a lot of work to do today,” Mom said with a smile.
They first walked around the farm to check the crops. Luckily, many of the vegetables had survived the storm. Some ripe vegetables were ready to be harvested, so Mom showed Bobo how to carefully pick them without damaging the plants.
Bobo happily collected fresh vegetables and placed them into his basket. He was especially excited whenever he found a large, healthy vegetable hiding under the leaves.
After harvesting, Bobo and Mom started cleaning the farm. They picked up fallen branches, gathered leaves, and moved damaged plants out of the walking paths. Bobo worked hard, carrying small branches and putting them into a pile while Mom handled the larger pieces.
The ground was still wet and muddy, so Bobo had to be careful not to slip. At one point, he stepped into a muddy puddle and almost fell over. Mom laughed gently when she saw his muddy feet.
“Looks like the storm gave you a little extra bath!” she joked.
Bobo laughed too and continued working.
After several hours, the farm began to look neat again. The paths were clear, the harvested vegetables were safely collected, and the remaining plants stood proudly in the fresh sunlight.
Bobo and Mom sat under a tree to rest and looked at everything they had accomplished together.
“You worked very hard today,” Mom told Bobo proudly.
Bobo smiled because he was happy that he could help.
Before going home, they carried the fresh harvest back to the house. Mom promised to prepare a delicious meal using the vegetables they had collected.
The storm had caused a lot of work, but Bobo learned that with teamwork, patience, and a little determination, they could bring the farm back to life. Most importantly, spending the day working beside Mom made Bobo feel proud and happy.
