Monkey Lily was happily playing around the house when Dad suddenly noticed something unusual about her. One of Lily’s eyes looked red and sore, and she kept rubbing it with her little hand. Dad immediately became worried and rushed over to check on her.
“Lily, what happened to your eye?” Dad asked gently.
Lily looked uncomfortable and tried to explain what had happened. A little earlier, she had been playing outside and exploring the garden. She had been curious about everything around her, touching leaves, flowers, and small plants. While playing, something seemed to get into her eye, making it itchy and uncomfortable.
Instead of telling Dad right away, Lily had tried to rub her eye because she thought the irritation would go away. Unfortunately, rubbing it only made her eye feel worse. By the time Dad noticed, Lily was already looking tired and unhappy.
Dad became even more concerned. He carefully looked at her eye but did not want to touch it too much. He comforted Lily and told her not to rub her eye anymore. He gently helped her wash her face and rinse around the eye with clean water.
Lily sat quietly beside Dad while he took care of her. She seemed to realize that she should have told him sooner. Dad reassured her that accidents could happen, but it was important to tell an adult whenever something hurt.
After some time, Lily seemed more comfortable, but Dad continued watching her carefully. He decided that if the soreness or redness continued, they would get professional medical advice to make sure everything was okay.
Lily gave Dad a little smile and promised to be more careful when playing outside. She also promised that next time something bothered her, she would tell Dad immediately instead of trying to fix it herself.
Dad was relieved to see Lily feeling better. He gave her a gentle hug and reminded her that he would always be there to help.
What started as a worrying moment turned into an important lesson for Lily. She learned to protect her eyes, avoid rubbing them when something feels wrong, and always tell Dad when she needs help. By the end of the day, Lily was smiling again, while Dad finally felt much more relaxed.
