It was a peaceful morning at home when Abu’s mom was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Everything seemed normal, and she could hear the sounds of Abu playing nearby. But suddenly, the house became unusually quiet.
Mom called out, “Abu, where are you?” There was no answer.
Feeling curious, she walked around the house to look for him. When she entered the next room, she suddenly froze. Abu was lying motionless on the floor!
“Abu!” Mom cried as she rushed toward him. Her heart was pounding, and she was extremely worried. She gently called his name and carefully checked whether he was responding. For a moment, she didn’t know what had happened.
Mom tried to stay calm and called for help while continuing to check on Abu. She wondered if he had fallen, become exhausted, or hurt himself while playing. The frightening scene made her very nervous.
After a few moments, Abu finally moved slightly. Mom immediately felt a little relief, but she was still concerned. She gently encouraged him to wake up and tell her what was wrong.
Abu slowly opened his eyes and looked at his worried mother. He seemed tired and confused. Mom carefully helped him sit up and asked him what had happened.
Abu eventually explained that he had been playing for a long time and had become very tired. He had decided to lie down on the floor for a short rest. Unfortunately, he had fallen into such a deep sleep that he didn’t hear his mother calling him.
Mom sighed with relief when she realized that Abu was okay. She hugged him tightly and reminded him that he should always tell her when he feels tired or unwell. She also explained that lying motionless without letting anyone know could frighten the people who love him.
Abu felt sorry for making his mother so worried. He gave her a big hug and promised to be more careful.
Soon, the scary moment turned into a touching family moment. Mom prepared some water and a light snack for Abu, and they spent the rest of the morning together.
What began as a terrifying discovery ended with Mom feeling grateful that Abu was safe. Abu also learned an important lesson: sometimes even a simple nap can give Mom the biggest scare!
