Monkey Bibi was having a playful day at home, but there was one little problem—he was craving a tasty snack. Dad had recently told Bibi that it was almost time for a proper meal, so Bibi knew he shouldn’t sneak into the kitchen. But the delicious smell coming from the snack basket was simply too tempting.
Bibi looked around carefully. Dad was nearby, busy organizing a few things around the house. Bibi quickly came up with a secret plan. He quietly grabbed a small snack and looked for the perfect hiding place.
Bibi tiptoed behind a chair and crouched down, trying his best not to make a sound. He carefully held the snack in his hands and began taking tiny bites.
Every time Dad moved, Bibi froze!
Dad suddenly looked around and called, “Bibi, where are you?”
Bibi stayed completely still. He covered his mouth and tried not to laugh. Dad walked through the room, searching for him, while Bibi peeked out from behind the chair with a mischievous little smile.
After a few moments, Dad walked away. Bibi thought his secret mission had succeeded. He happily continued eating his snack, feeling very proud of himself.
But then disaster struck!
A tiny piece of the snack fell onto the floor with a soft sound. Bibi quickly tried to pick it up, but it was too late. Dad heard the noise and followed the trail.
“Hmm… What do we have here?” Dad asked.
Bibi slowly peeked around the chair and realized he had been caught red-handed. Instead of getting angry, Dad smiled and gently asked Bibi why he had been hiding.
Bibi looked down shyly and showed Dad the remaining snack.
Dad laughed and explained that sneaking food wasn’t a good habit. He told Bibi that he could always ask if he was hungry. Bibi nodded and promised to ask next time.
But then came the unexpected ending.
Dad revealed that he had actually prepared a special healthy snack for Bibi because he knew his little monkey would probably get hungry before dinner. Bibi’s eyes became wide with surprise.
Dad gave him the special snack, and Bibi happily shared some with him.
What started as a secret snack mission ended with laughter, love, and an important lesson. Bibi learned that asking Dad was much better than hiding—and Dad discovered just how mischievous his little monkey could be!
