One hot summer morning, Monkey Lyly woke up feeling very thirsty. The sun was shining brightly, and the weather was getting hotter and hotter. Lyly went outside to play, but after running around for a while, she began to feel tired and needed something refreshing to drink.
Lyly walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, hoping to find a cold drink. Suddenly, she noticed a big, fresh watermelon sitting on the table. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she remembered how delicious and sweet watermelon juice tasted. She decided that instead of asking her mother to make it, she would learn how to prepare the juice herself!
First, Lyly carefully carried the watermelon to the kitchen counter. She asked her mother for help cutting the large fruit into smaller pieces. Her mother smiled and showed her how to remove the green rind safely. Lyly watched attentively, eager to learn every step.
Next, she placed the juicy red watermelon pieces into a blender. She added a little cold water and carefully closed the lid. With her mother’s supervision, Lyly pressed the button and watched the watermelon turn into a beautiful red liquid. She was amazed by how quickly the fruit became delicious-looking juice!
When the blender stopped, Lyly poured the fresh watermelon juice into a glass. She added a few ice cubes to make it extra refreshing. The sweet smell made her mouth water, and she couldn’t wait to taste her homemade drink.
Finally, Lyly took her first sip. Her face immediately brightened with happiness! The watermelon juice was sweet, cool, and perfect for the hot summer day. She happily drank another sip and danced around the kitchen, proud of her new skill.
When her mother came over, Lyly offered her a glass of the refreshing juice. Her mother tasted it and gave Lyly a warm smile, praising her for learning something new.
