How resourceful! Monkey Lyly carefully cleaned the house, warming her mother’s heart.

One bright morning, Monkey Lyly woke up earlier than usual. The house was quiet, and her mother was still resting after a long, tiring day. As Lyly looked around, she noticed something she had often ignored before—the house was messy. Toys were scattered across the floor, dishes were left unwashed, and dust had begun to gather on the shelves. For a moment, Lyly felt a little guilty. She knew her mother worked hard every day, yet still had to take care of everything at home.

Determined to make a change, Lyly rolled up her tiny sleeves and got to work.

First, she carefully picked up all her toys and placed them neatly into their basket. Then, she grabbed a small cloth and began wiping down the tables and shelves. Though she was small, Lyly was surprisingly resourceful. She dragged a chair across the floor to reach higher places, making sure not to knock anything over. Every move she made was slow and thoughtful, as if she truly wanted everything to be perfect.

Next came the dishes. Standing on tiptoe, Lyly gently washed each one, humming a cheerful tune as she worked. A little water splashed here and there, but she didn’t give up. Instead, she wiped the counter dry afterward, proud of her effort.

As the morning sun filled the house, everything began to shine. The floor was clean, the air felt fresh, and the once-messy home now looked warm and welcoming.

Just then, her mother woke up and stepped into the room. She stopped in surprise, her eyes wide as she took in the sight. For a moment, she said nothing. Then she looked at Lyly—tired but smiling—and her heart melted.

“Did you do all this?” her mother asked softly.

Lyly nodded shyly.

Her mother knelt down and hugged her tightly. “Thank you, my dear. This means so much to me.”

In that simple embrace, Lyly felt a happiness greater than any game or toy. She had learned that even small acts of care could bring the biggest warmth—and that helping with love made a house truly feel like home.
