It was a bright and peaceful morning when Lily happily walked beside Dad on their way to the park. She held his hand tightly, humming a little tune and smiling at the birds in the trees. It had been a while since they spent quiet time together like this, and Lily felt extra happy.
As they reached the old playground, Lily suddenly stopped. Near the swings stood a familiar figure she hadn’t seen in such a long time. Her eyes widened with surprise, and her little face lit up with excitement.
“Dad! Is that really…?” Lily whispered, hardly believing what she saw.
Dad looked up and smiled warmly. “Yes, Lily. It’s them.”
Running toward them as fast as her tiny feet could go, Lily shouted with joy. It was her old best friend, the one she used to play with every single day before they moved away. After so many months apart, seeing each other again felt like a dream come true.
